Causes of skin cancer:
All types of cancer have various root causes. In a similar manner, skin cancer has different etiological causes as well. It combines the factor of genetic aspects like the type of skin and skin color with the surrounding effects of environmental aspects. These can be the UV rays or sunlight giving direct exposure. Radiations from Sun:
The leading cause of skin cancer has always been sunlight. While some people less exposed to it also develop cancer, it doesn’t change the impact of sun rays on the emergence of skin cancer. Throughout life, there are chances of sunlight reactions to the skin in the form of cancerous cells.
The radiation from the sun has the potential to bring mutations to the DNA that can cause cancerous cells to emerge in the skin. Different forms of cancer take different time periods to show hence it can sometimes take longer for the radiation to show any cancerous results and some might occur sooner depending on the cancer type.
