Melissa McCarthy has gained fame because of her thrilled wits and infectious humor, yet she was still known for her voluptuous figure and her curvy figure was one of the most noticeable parts of her personality.
Melissa despite being overweight has still gained some major popularity and her weight if we consider it was a major reason for her success in the TV series “Mike and Molly” which was a big hit. Melissa always used her over weight as armor in the Hollywood industry.
The recent change in Melissa’s appearance has shocked everyone with her impressive weight loss and has left everyone astonished. Moreover, everyone is as much curious as impressed about how Melissa lost so much weight.
How Melissa McCarthy lost weight:
Even though Melissa’s voluptuous body made her gain some major success but still she always were conscious of her weight that was over 45 lbs so she decided to get some changes in her appearance and starting losing her weight with great speed.
In an interview when asked about her weight loss and some tips, Melissa said that the reason she was able to lose this much weight was because she stopped worrying about her weight, her exact words were, “I truly stopped worrying about it.” which means that worrying about it would not let you get anywhere so just loosen yourself up and go with the flow.
Melissa McCarthy diet:
When Melissa got a role in “Gilmore Girls”, she did an all liquid diet suggested by a doctor that made her lost 70 pounds in just about four months but she also said about her diet that, “I felt starved and crazy half the time” so she said that she will never go back to that diet. After that she went on a low carb diet that suited her well.
For breakfast, Melissa took some scrambled eggs with chicken or turkey and had a glass of green smoothie which included almond milk, some chia seeds and spinach or parsley which is a very healthy and low carb breakfast.
For her lunch she ate some chicken or turkey breast with some vegetables and salad and she also took a cup of some green tea to finish her lunch. At last for her dinner, Melissa again took some chicken or turkey breast but at dinner she took some steamed veggies with an avocado.
Melissa also mentioned about some of her craving so she took half a cup of baby carrots and hummus for a snack before her lunch and a cup of freshly pressed juice as a snack in between her lunch and dinner.
Melissa mentioned in an interview about her weight loss where she said something about her light exercise, “Honestly, I couldn’t have done it if I’d even wanted to! No, I didn’t need to exercise every day. I’ve always liked to jog every few days, but I didn’t change my routine. The only thing I did was took these pills.
